The Third Sunday of Advent is also called Gaudete Sunday. Gaudete means "Rejoice". It marks the halfway point until we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day.

Light Two Purple Candles and the Rose Candle on the Third Sunday of Advent, and throughout the Third Week of Advent.
