At the risk of attracting no views whatsoever, this episode deals with the low register, specifically pedal tones. I explain how, why and when pedal tones are used in the Brass Tactics 6/60 Routine and demonstrate each pitch down to double pedal E, more than two octaves below the lowest note on the trumpet according to the range charts. From here, there is nowhere to go but up!

This video is the second in an ongoing series in which I discuss and demonstrate the exercises that comprise the Brass Tactics 6/60 Routine, in the process covering many of the fundamental aspects of sound production on a brass instrument.
