At Simplicity Bath & Shower, we work with a variety of clients who have very different requirements for their bathroom remodels, and our projects run the gamut of scope and style. However, there are strong trends that can be seen in the market as a whole, and one of these is the demand for large, luxury showers in the master bathroom, even at the expense of the master bath tub. For most homeowners, the tub in the master bath gets far less usage today than in decades past, and a larger shower offers greater utility, enjoyment, and value for today's busy lifestyles.
A custom shower remodel utilizing the entire footprint of the old tub and small, adjacent shower was the perfect solution for this couple. We built their new, luxury shower with a primary focus on safety and accessibility, which can be evidenced with the zero-threshold entry and numerous grab bars. In addition, the homeowners also wanted to avoid an "institutional" look and have the shower integrate nicely with the rest of the existing bathroom (which wasn't being remodeled), so we suggested this beautiful large-format porcelain tile for their walls, and the hexagonal tile shower floor that also provides a nice accent as the back of their recessed soap niches. Every single detail was meticulously explored and laid out before the project began, so that the build could proceed smoothly and efficiently. The finished shower remodel is a carefully crafted masterpiece and the homeowners are ecstatic!
