INGREDIENTS:
Chicken Breast 1000 grams (2 Large Whole)
Cooking Oil: 30-40ml
Onion (Red or White): 2 x Medium or 1 x Large
Tomato: 2 x Medium sized
Green Chillies 2-4 count
Capiscums (Malu Miris) 4-5 count
Spring Onion Leaves 2-3 count
Tomato Ketchup/Sauce 20-30ml
Soy Sauce 2 - 3 Ounces
Crushed Garlic 3-4 individual Cloves
Chili Flakes: 1 Tablespoon
Salt: 2 x Teaspoons (or to Taste)
Sri Lankan Style Devilled Chicken Bites.
Make sure the Chicken is nicely browned on all sides. Use high heat to fry the Chicken, this way it sears on the outside and stays moist inside. Tomato Ketchup adds the slight sweetness to the bites, add more if you want more sweet, less if you don't.
TIPS: All spice ingredient quantities should be adjusted to YOUR taste. Less spicey? Add less Chili, or use Paprika or Black Pepper instead.
Any sort of neutral cooking oil is Ok: Sunflower, Palm Olein, or even Olive Oil.
Be very careful when adding Salt. Too much Salt ruins the whole dish, add less to start, and then add more later if you are unsure.
