In 2018, Norsvin initiated a new research project aiming to reduce the incidences of tail biting in Norwegian pork production. The project will identify risk factors related to tail biting in Norwegian grower-finisher production and develop management protocols for the producers. Further, we hope to develop methods for including tail biting in our breeding program.
