The TU Dublin, Masters in Finance (TU318) was designed in conjunction with industry practitioners. Our graduates emerge from the program with a combination of hands-on, practical skills e.g., Financial Statement Analysis fused with a solid mastery of current theoretical frameworks in Corporate Finance, Derivatives, Risk Management, International Finance and Data Science / Econometrics. Course work is made practicable by integrating strong problem-solving skills in Data and Financial Analysis. We provide training in derivatives pricing tools and pragmatically introduce areas like Python for Finance. Students develop Econometric and Time Series competencies with extensive use being made of RStudio™, EViews™ and Stata™. The course is data centric and we introduce students gently to many fields of empirical finance stretching from machine learning to traditional time series analysis. This Masters program will help you step into many innovations that are rapidly transforming retail and investment banking where traditional demarcations have blurred. We provide students with cutting edge coursework in order to tackle key challenges in a world of crypto and digital currencies. Finance today constantly intersects with technology and our curriculum embraces this and provides students not only with the tools but also a vocabulary to levitate across the fintech spectrum. Learn from our faculty, who have earned an international reputation for ground-breaking research and are now widely published in leading academic journals. This program makes extensive use of the Finance Lab on the fourth floor of the Aungier Steet campus which will permit learners to hone their trading and hedging strategies. Students can maintain access to information on the global markets and master Datastream technology which is made available onsite. Thomson Reuter certification can be incorporated into your postgraduate degree - if learners wish to avail. We invest heavily each year in data resources so students can fully benefit from a rewarding pedagogic experience and are exposed to standard industry tools and powerful libraries like sklearn.
The TU318 faculty members are committed to investing in the careers of learners from diverse backgrounds. We actively support learners from diverse backgrounds and our fee structures are deliberately maintained low relative to national and international peers. We know this often removes one of major stumbling blocks to many learners wanting to advance their mastery of a chosen field and career:
