On the island of Phuket you will find its capital Phuket City and in that city you will find Phuket Old Town. That is a lot of Phuket, and I know you might be tempted to explore Phuket's beaches instead. However, Phuket Old Town has a lot of things to do and offer.

It is an ideal day trip, especially if you want to do something in Phuket whilst it is raining. Also you shouldn't forget about this place if you are into history or are around when the vegetarian festival is happening. In other words, history, small cute little shops and restaurants and great street food in Phuket Old Town.
