프랑스 공무원들, 10년 만에 대규모 총파업
French public sector workers have staged a one-day nationwide strike against President Emmanuel Macron's economic reform plans.
Tuesday's action forced airlines to cancel hundreds of flights and caused a number of schools to close.
It's the first time in a decade that all unions representing more than five million public workers have rallied behind a protest call.
Macron plans to cut 120-thousand public sector jobs over the next five years and toughen pay conditions, which he says are needed to unlock economic growth and put public finances on a more sustainable footing.
