Jaimoe is a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band and a big part of my book about the band: 'Play All Night! Duane Allman and the Journey to Fillmore East.' Here, he tells me something I got right: how the Allman Brothers Band played Black music naturally, which is why they were so damn good. They weren't imitating--a point Jaimoe has made a lot over the years. And he would know.
