Imagine your goal or dream is a lighthouse, and you’re following its light. But the journey isn’t always short, and along the way, you can run into challenges, doubts, frustration, disappointments, even failure. Sometimes, it’s like you’re surrounded by fog, the kind where the lighthouse beam can’t quite reach, and you’re not sure which way to go next.

I often feel like the hedgehog in the fog (*yes, there’s a wonderful cartoon from my childhood about this!). In those moments, to see the light again, it’s so important to remember why I’m doing what I do, why I chose this lighthouse in the first place.

And that’s what the song Remember Why is about. And about being gentle with ourselves, even when we feel lost in the fog.
