After a tentative early access period beginning in 2020 before launching proper in 2022, we’re now starting to see the fruits of game developers’ labor, of those studios that have adopted Unreal Engine 5 as their go-to game engine.

The games on this rundown are all graphically stunning, showcasing UE5’s capability for film quality textures, dynamic lighting, and realistic facial animations. It’s still early days for the technology too; as this console generation develops, expect more studios to release games that realize the UE5’s full potential.
