As a Canadian-born immigrant, Bridget shares their experience as a foreigner in the United States, and how vastly different it was from the experiences of immigrants of color. Hello! My name’s Bridget Phillips and I’m so excited to be joining the TEDx community. As an avid journalist and creative writer, I contribute to publications such as the Los Angeles Times High School Insider and TV Wasteland. My work is mainly anecdotal— focusing on both pop culture and current events. I’m also a devout theatre student; as a member of the Laguna Playhouse Youth Conservatory, I am both an actress and performer.
