Toscanini the famous conductor conquered "La Scala" in Milano and later New York.
At the age befell him an arthritis pain and a Doctor from the South Toscana promised help.This doctor helped with new paths for salvation and Toscanini visited him in his Villa several times (Toscaninis X-ray photo is there). In 1931 the Doctor was a victim of a brutal murder. To stay in the family, his nephew Doctor R. as well a doctor and Avantgarde Artist dedicated to the art, but did not sell his art.
He once asked a friend to share in Berlin a competition and won the second place of a artist festival .
The house is stuffed with art from various centuries and until today the family holds up the heritage.
In the 50s, Avantgarde Artist Doctor R. bought a Lancia Lambda 8 series to survive the car from the junk yard. A restoration with participation of two coaches failed. Since then, the car rests, originally in the barn. It was for me a miracle to see a car untouched since sixty years.We know that the car was delivered new to Stabilimenti Farina. The first owner was Count Angelo Brazzetti in Orvieto. How the car looked as a new car, we try to find out. Shure is that in the second WorldWar the car was used as a pickupcar in the commune of Orvieto. Thanks to anybody who can find out what happened with the car in the 40s.
