Leach fields may be quite different than what you remember. This is an example of a leach field using a chamber system. In this demo video, I show you what it looks like inside the chamber. The water comes in at the head of the trench and drips onto the floor. There are no pipes running through the chambers. The water will then saturate the floor and begin moving its way down the row. Once the ground is saturated the water will rise up in the chamber and bleed our the sides for vertical and horizontal saturation. This system is much easier to install if you are in the right soil type. Typically one person can dig and lay the entire system on his/her own.
