Bread Kheer Toast
Servings - 10
INGREDIENTS
White bread slices - 10
Oil - for frying
Sugar - 220 grams
Water - 120 milliliters
Milk - 250 milliliters
Milk powder - 60 grams
Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Reserved sugar syrup - 2 tablespoons
PREPARATION
1. Take bread slices and cut it’s edges.
2. Now, divide it into 4 equal parts.
3. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
4. Remove it from heat and drain it on an absorbent paper.
5. Take a pan, add 220 grams sugar, 120 milliliters water and stir continuously until the sugar is dissolved completely.
6. Add the fried bread slices in it and soak for a minute.
7. Flip it to the other side and do the same.
8. Remove it from syrup and transfer this on a grill and rest for 5 - 10 minutes.
9. Reserve the sugar syrup for further use.
10. Take a pan, add 250 milliliters milk, 60 grams milk powder and mix it well.
11. Add 1 tablespoon ghee and mix it again.
12. Add 2 tablespoons reserved sugar syrup and mix it well.
13. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
14. Remove it from heat and transfer this into a bowl.
15. Take the fried bread slice and add the prepared stuffing over it and spread it evenly.
16. Place the another bread slice on top of it.
17. Remove the excess stuffing from the sides.
18. Serve.
