A traffic policeman in east China's Jiangxi Province delivered a baby in a highway emergency on Friday.
Officer Xu Chunpeng responded to a highway emergency where he saw a malfunctioning vehicle in which a pregnant woman was lying in agony on the emergency lane.
Xu quickly carried the woman to his police vehicle and rushed to hospital.
Xu had to pull over after a couple of minutes, when the woman screamed in pain and said the baby's head was coming out.
Though having no training, Xu pulled the baby out in crunch time, fearing that any delay might cost the mother and the child's life. He proceeded with taking off his uniform and wrapped it around the baby to keep warm.
The mother and the new born were later hospitalized. Doctors revealed they are in good condition. More on: [ Ссылка ]
