I Can honestly say this over arm system works really well, and eliminates most of the fine dust that my table saw produces. A big reason these are as affective as they are is due to the fact the slow down the dust particles being thrown from your blade. the particles have been recorded at speeds higher than 100mph, and with out this, makes it almost impossible for you to collect them by only the cabinet hookup.
my secondary air flow reads at the dust hood were strictly experimental, and I'm not even sure if the calc's were done right. If you are more versed in the topic I'd love to hear a better technique or approach to calculating it.
Bill Pentz's website has the most amount of info about building, and setting up dust collection systems. I reference his site (linked below) anytime I'm working on my system.
