In this video, we explore Japan's most legendary green tea, Gyokuro. Gyokuro was once reserved exclusively for the Emperor, and to this day is still considered the highest quality leaf tea in Japan. Gyokuro is shaded for 21 days prior to the harvest, giving it a rich sweet umami flavor. It is meant to be brewed with very little water, creating a dense, powerful infusion that glides over the tongue.
