Always be safe when you use a laser. I keep my laser in a closed box with a fan vented to the outside. Always wear your eye protection. These laser are no joke. They are a tool that requires respect.
So in this video I paint a steel sheet that I focus my laser too. Then place the clear acrylic sheet on top. The laser burns the paint on the metal, the heat is trapped between the metal and the plastic and etches into the plastic. I am using my Zinc coating but other's on youtube have used black spray paint for a more frosted look. I wanted a high contrast look.
The lion was at 60% power 1000mm per minuet.
The girl was at 50% power 1000mm per minuet.
The skunk was at 40% power at 1000mm per minuet.
