Yaroslav Askarov is the top goaltender prospect at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, and is widely considered to being the best goalie prospect in the NHL since Carey Price had his name called by the Montreal Canadiens 5th overall at the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Askarov's status puts him highly above previous goaltender prospects we've seen in recent memory, including guys like Spencer Knight, Jake Oettinger, and Jack Campbell. Askarov is in a tier of his own, and thus, can be projected to go anywhere amongst the early picks of the 2020 NHL Draft.
