China's j-20 stealth fighter with It's new massively powerful WS15 engine takes first flight.
China's Chengdu J20 stealth fighter is about to get a new power boost with it's new massively powerful Xian WS-15 Taihang Afterburning Turbofan jet engine.
J-20 is currently powered by Shenyang WS-10C Engine with maximum thrust of 147 kn. Ws15 was originally intended to power J 20 Mighty Dragon, and now it has finally entered mass production. With WS 15 engine, J-20 will be able to finally achieve:
1 ➡ Supercruise capability.
2 ➡ Super-maneuverability with the help of three dimensional thrust vectoring.
3 ➡ More combat range.
4 ➡ Fuel efficiency.
