Poland; Krakow city; Monument to Adam Mickiewicz
The monument to Adam Mickiewicz is located on the main market square in Krakow. The statue is 10 m high. Well, below there are four allegories: homeland, valor, science and poetry. On the pedestal there is an inscription in Polish: To Adam Mickiewicz - People. The monument was opened in 1898. In 1940, the German authorities destroyed it. It was later restored again in 1955.
