Colonel James. E. Pepper was a whiskey man from a whiskey family. Old Pepper Whiskey dates back to 1780 and its history is reborn at the remodeled distillery in Lexington, Kentucky. In the Distillery District, you will find restaurants, breweries, bars, and even an ice cream shop. In fact, the Pepper Rickhouse in the District is the home of one of my favorite Kentucky shops, Relic. The Pepper Distillery and Rickhouse is a landmark that preserves the history of a famous whiskey family. This Rye was a surprise to us and we hope you will enjoy our review.
