The Saw-scaled viper (Echis carinatus) is a small venomous snake which lives in the Middle East and on the Indian subcontinent. It has a very potent venom capable of killing a human. These vipers are often defensive and don't hesitate to strike when threatened. They produce a famous sizzling sound with scales on their flanks (with a saw-like structure).
