(9 Nov 2021) Syria's Kurdish security forces said three civilians were killed on Tuesday when a suspected Turkish drone targeted a car in the eastern city of Qamishli.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors the war in Syria, said the attack in Kurdish-held eastern Syria killed three members of the same family.
The Observatory said the three were family members of a politician in the local Kurdish administration, and include his grandfather.
The politician was not in the car, the Observatory said, adding that it was not clear if the attack was carried out by a drone or caused by an improvised explosive device on the side of the road.
