Last month Jamil Farshchi stated that there are “Two guarantees in cybersecurity (1) We will ALWAYS face risks. (2) We can solve anything together. There’s an endless list of challenges that may impact every business, government, and person in the new year… Regardless of whether you’re a cyber analyst or board director, elected official or small business owner, insurance provider or investor, you name it… we all need to play our part to drive down cyber risk.”
He then proceeded to lay out his take on the top risks we will face as cyber executives in 2022. What are they? And what can we do to address them? We will discuss this and more on our next SANS Leadership Live - Seat at the Table.
Jamil Farshchi is the Chief Information Security Officer of Equifax (NYSE: EFX). From mega breaches to nuclear weapons, Farshchi has spent his career at the epicenter of cybersecurity. Farshchi joined Equifax in 2018 and led an unprecedented transformation of the company’s security and technology capabilities in the aftermath of one of the most consequential data breaches in history.
Prior to Equifax, Farshchi was Chief Information Security Officer at The Home Depot, where he led the security turnaround for the Fortune 50 company following a high-profile breach. He also previously served as Chief Information Security Officer of Time Warner; Vice President of Global Information Security for Visa; and Chief Information Security Officer of the Los Alamos National Laboratory; and Deputy Chief Information Assurance Officer of NASA.
