In this Video, I continue sharing mistakes I see LinkedIn Members making, with the hopes you are not this person.
1. Congratulate a LinkedIn Member for a new job, if they are actually updating their LinkedIn Profile with a job they have had for years. Look at their LinkedIn Profile first.
2. Engage on a Post based on another person's comment. Read the post, article, or watch the video first and then engage with the author and/or other engagers.
3. Say happy birthday to LinkedIn Members who have passed away.
4. Leave your old employer's phone # on your LinkedIn Profile.
5. Publicly argue with a LinkedIn Member via comments. Move these conversations to private or just don't argue.
6. Ignore LinkedIn Members who engage on your content. Personal & Business Pages Pay attention to notifications.
7. Assume what your LinkedIn Profile looks like to non-connections or via Google. Go look yourself or ask a known non-connection to screenshot it for you.
8. Become a serial Liker. Meaningful Engagement is a minimum of 10 words. Likes only help the content, not your brand.
9. Use LinkedIn Invites as a channel to pitch your product. Invites are all about making new relevant connections. The pitch happens downstream.
10. Scroll thru the newsfeed with reckless abandon. Quick reviews are fine. Search for content by your target audience, industry, influencers, peers, keywords, #Hashtags, etc, and engage on that content.
11. Miss out on the power of LinkedIn Mobile App Messaging Features. Audio & Video messages can be useful when engaging with your LinkedIn Network.
12. Subscribe to Premium LinkedIn (Business Premium or Sales Navigator) if you are not going to use them in your business processes.
