He does a deflection comparison test with the Speed Demon Pro 7’ 5” heavy fast action tip compared to the Spirale 7’ 6” heavy fast action. The scientific fishing rod comparison of two KastKing bass rods is done on a deflection board, or deflection graph. Clay does a couple of different comparisons to see how to pick one out compared to the other. The first comparison test with identical mounting on the deflection board measures fishing rod action, it is interesting to see where the difference of one inch is on the fishing rod blanks. The second test compares fishing rod power by hanging 10 ounces of weight from the fishing rod tips and measuring the difference on the deflection board. The final test is weighing each fishing rod for total weight and see how they compare.
