This 1st race was all about sealing the championship for me as I was starting in a strong position 10 places ahead of my championship rival. I made a decent start to edge up on the leader into Redgate but spent the entire 1st lap being cautious to avoid any drama which saw me shuffled back to 5th. Once the race settled down a little I was able to slowly work my way back to 2nd through a few overtakes / taking advantage of others mistakes. Towards the end of the race I was getting more pressure from the 3rd place car behind and as soon as they made a serious move for the lead I was happy to let them go and follow them to the flag to seal the championship with a solid run to 3rd.
