Komajou Remilia was originally released in 2009 as one of the many fan games in the Touhou universe. This time, instead of a bullet hell game, we got a “Touhouvania” or a parody of the Castlevania games. Despite the many inspirations from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Komajou Remilia mixes the classic Castlevania formula with Touhou’s shooting game mechanics. As such, it is not a Metroidvania. Komajou Remilia’s snappy controls, fast pace, nice Castlevania-ish music, and the colorful cast makes for a fun and light-hearted experience in spite of all the bullets that are thrown at you.
