The Russian railway system called a state of emergency on Monday (29/7) following a wave of attacks on train stations and railways. Police were patrolling the train stations since Chechen rebel leader Salman Raduyev claimed responsibility for bomb attacks taking place over the past several months, saying they were in protest over Moscow's resumption of hostilities in Chechnya.
