Tensions are running High in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal District. Amidst this the Congress has postponed its planned march to violence-hit Sambhal on Monday. Earlier in the morning, Uttar Pradesh Police issued a notice to Mr Rai asking them not to visit Sambhal. The decision comes after a Standoff with police outside its party office in Lucknow. The State Congress President Ajay Rai, had intended to visit Sambhal, a district which is currently under restrictions due to recent communal clashes.
