First up in the show, we'll discuss adult use marijuana in Ohio and where it stands now the citizen-led initiated statute has gone into effect. For instance you can grow weed but you cannot buy it for recreational use. We'll also hear about the efforts by Republican lawmakers in the state to make changes to the law. Then, Ohio lawmakers approved a bill banning transgender and nonbinary youth from accessing gender-affirming care and bans transgender girls from playing girls high school or college sports. Now HB 68 heads to Governor Mike DeWine's desk. Whether he'll sign the bill is unknown, but LGBTQ+ advocates throughout the state are urging the governor to veto the bill. We will talk about what supporters and opponents of the bill are saying and what signs DeWine has given about the legislation. (Air date: Dec. 14, 2023).
