It’s been six months since we joined our Takahē Recovery Programme partners – the Department of Conservation, Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and the New Zealand Nature Fund – on Ngāi Tahu tribal property at Greenstone Station to mark the establishment of New Zealand’s third wild takahē population.
Since then, the Greenstone Station takahē population has welcomed some new members into the fold! Join us as we take a look back at the milestone release and hear how the birds are settling into their new wild home.
