How to power a 12v led light bulb with one 18650 lithium-ion batteries this possible or something is wrong

The 12v led light bulbs are getting more and more common this days you can find them anywhere not just in the automotive industry and accessories,and this is good for the off the grid community out there because there are more and more resources available.Normally a 12v led bulb will require a minimum of 9v to light dimmly but it never crosses my mind that it might work on a 18650 lithium ion rechargeable cell of 3.7v.As you will see in the video this trick does not work with all the 12v led bulb and led strips this type of 12v ac/dc led light bulb that is meant for the fridge.
Only the 12v led light that is designed to work on ac apparently work on this system with the 18650 battery.The only thing that i added was a 20ohm resistor in series because the current measured without the resistor was 1.2A so could damage the bulb.
Its strange but useful in an off the grid situation and the light is not that bad for the 120-150mA of power consumption.
So it is possible to power a 12v led light bulb with just one18650 Li-ion battery and a simple 15-20ohm resistor
