2nd leg in this series, from Dinslaken we went in a South Easterly direction towards Koblenz.
The location of the airport is simply stunning, the views are exceptional, well worth the visit. Interestingly the airport has two patterns which they use simultaneously…. This confused me a bit but what they do is they call out their location in the pattern and mention being in the North or the South one.
As you can see at app. 11.50 two planes came very close to each other whilst on final and one of the executed a go-around when they spotted the other plane. Maybe on nice days with lots of traffic this more of an issue than when one flies their on a “regular” day.
