"Breakthroughs in landscape-based rainfall-runoff"
The landscape holds the key to rainfall-runoff analysis. The landscape is the result of co-evolution with climate, geological substrate, ecosystem and hydrology. The landscape thus holds information on the dominant runoff mechanism, both on and under the ground. The art is to read the relevant properties from the landscape and translate these into model characteristics and properties.
