So you are considering buying a Homebridge to your homekit so you can use other products that are not compatible with Homekit and in that way, you will be able to add them on. I will give you 10 Reasons to don’t Use HomeBridge with HomeKit in this video. I know that setting up an Apple Homekit is not cheap. These bridges like Hoobs allow us to use other more affordable products that normally don't work on Apple Homekit like nest cameras. These products work flawlessly with Alexa, Amazon and other smart home systems. Still, when you understand more how this kind of ecosystem works how much hassle you need to put into this kind of setup and all the issues that some plugins that you will install in a Raspberrypi solution or a Hoobs are going to hate the word tutorial because you will be after all that but if you follow my 10 Reasons to don’t Use HomeBridge with HomeKit I think you will appreciate to be away from Bridges like Hoobs.
