Hello and welcome to all those who subscribed or visited for my latest video.
On 10th July I visited Portsmouth & Southsea Station.
It’s one of the doubt bestest station in Portsmouth, and Harbour as well.
I really like layout of the station, and how it has 2 levels. High level is for fast Services trains to Waterloo Via Guildford, and also Waterloo service Via Eastleigh & Basingstoke. Also services to Salisbury, Bristol Cardiff, and Portsmouth Harbour, and you have a lower level is where trains services for Brighton, Victoria & stopping Waterloo services and Southampton Central is situated.
Views are amazing, my favourite in particular is from high level where you can trains both approaching towards Fratton and Harbour lines.
There is also siding where Trains stabled there until service next morning, that is situated next to Landport Viaduct.
Facility wise pretty good.
What stands out for me the most is always old 1980s BR canopy, as it’s been there since my childhood and I remember very well of the days of the old slam doors and Wessex 442.
I really like filming inside canopy, and love hearing the sound is trains rumbling and thundering into and out of the station.
Trains you will see in this video are SWR 444, 450, Southern 377 & GWR 158 & Turbos 165 & 166.
Overall fantastic station, definitely be coming back again.
