Genuine homemade traditional rye bread from self-made sourdough starter. Baked in electric oven.
Juuren voi ostaa tai valmistaa myös itse. Myöhemmin tulossa video jossa näytetään juuren valmistus.
You can either buy or make the sourdough starter yourself. “How to make Rye sourdough starter” -video will be published later.
Rye bread
150 grams rye sourdough starter
2 deciliter water
50 grams rye flour
Mix together. Keep the dough at room temperature for 2-3 days.
6 deciliter water
25 grams salt
850 – 1000 grams rye flour (depending the moisture of the flour)
Mix together. Leave to rest at room temperature for 6-12 hours.
Take 150 grams of dough for the next time. You can store it in the refrigerator appr. 2 weeks. You can also freeze it.
Shape the dough into breads and let them rise appr. 3-6 hours.
Bake in the oven at 200 celsius appr. 45-50 minutes.
Enjoy warm freshly baked bread with butter and fresh milk.
