Large numbers of refugees continue to make their way to Europe despite harsh winter conditions. And the continent is seeing a rise of xenophobia and mounting pressure on politicians over immigration policies. In Sweden, dozens of masked men gathered on Friday night in Stockholm and handed out leaflets, calling for attacks against young refugees. In England, anti-immigration demonstrators clashed with anti-racism protesters. Protests have also been reported in Germany, with a grenade being thrown into refugee shelter on Friday.
