Moon Gate developer Cameron Fraser summaries the July month of building activities on the construction site. Work is now well underway on the heart of the development – the main restaurant and public areas, along with the kitchen, main bar and cellar areas of the hotel.
Foundation backfilling is also finished on the reception and lobby, floor slab formwork and beams are in place, and electrical and plumbing installation plans are underway. The back of house office area has also begun, while work continues on the generator enclosure, electrical switch room, and water supply infrastructure including the all-important reverse osmosis plant.
Meanwhile, the interior build-out continues on Building 1 and Building 2. Construction has now reached the third-floor on Building 5, second-floor on Building 7, while Building 6 has seen the first-floor blocks cast, plus columns and lintels.
