A short video to show you how I cover my koi fish pond to help keep the heat in for the winter.
I heat the pond using a titanium coil heater in-line set to 6 degrees, just enough to keep the pond from freezing. I cover the pond using polycarbonate sheets that I bought online and built a simple wooden frame for each one to give it more rigidity and to make them easier to handle.
I recommend using 18mm polycarbonate sheets, they are usually twin walled so have an air pocket in the middle which helps to insulate.
