Brown Sequard Syndrome is the result of hemisection of the spinal cord. There is ipsilateral upper motor neuron type paralysis (corticospinal tract) below the level of the lesion along with loss of proprioception (spinocerebellar tract). Additionally there will be contralateral loss of pain and temperature sensation (spinothalamic tract)
