Al Fadi and Dr. Jay continue to ask simple questions that show how delicate the origin of the Qur'an’s history really is. They focus on the burning of the various versions of the Qur'an that were being circulated and taught throughout the region. The differing versions were all burned, but why? Muslims claim that the differences were dialectical, but these differences were obviously recorded and written differences in the script because dialect has to do with oral speech, not the written word. Even so, Uthman supposedly wrote one final version of the Qur'an that should be followed yet there are still over 30 different versions of the Qur'an in circulation today.
