"Define your Niche in Occupational Therapy Private Practice" is a video explaining why it is SO important to pick a lane if you are opening an occupational therapy private practice! You can NOT cater to everyone or you will serve NOONE. No matter what people tell you or what you think, when you are beginning your private practice, you MUST pick a focus and run with it. I learned this the hard way! OT is so big and you can literally do anything --- DON'T DO EVERYTHING. You can always broaden your reach in the future. For now, hone your craft!
Additional video training, audio training, and PDF printables have been uploaded for BOT Portal Annual Members.

This video, along with others in this series, is part of the OTPreneur series and consultation initiative of Buffalo Occupational Therapy to promote occupational therapy private practice Michelle Eliason began the first adult (non-hand) occupational therapy clinic in WNY with little to no advice and support. Buffalo Occupational therapy started in Michelle’s kitchen and now services patients throughout New York via tele therapy and two clinical sites. This series is freely accessible to all occupational therapy practitioners who wish to start their own practice and don't know the first place to start. Buffalo Occupational Therapy believes that OTPs in new spaces should not charge astronomical mentorship fees and program fees for an endeavor that comes with many highs and lows. That said, Michelle Eliason does perform consultation meetings for those with specific questions after going through all the general videos. More video and audio training is accessible for Paid BOT Portal Members.
