We finally get the 5.3 LS engine mounted for Project Elsie, the budget LS Swap 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62! A few videos we weld in the engine mounts to the frame, now we finalize the placement! We also get the front driveshaft installed. Then finalize the mounting of the Corvette exhaust manifold on the passenger side of the 5.3 LS truck engine.
Project Elsie is a 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser with a 235k mile 5.3 and 4L60 swap that is mated to the factory Toyota Transfer Case using an Advance Adapters billet aluminum plate. We adapted universal engine mounts, modified the factory crossmember and had a local shop cut down the rear driveshaft. We used Corvette C5 exhaust manifolds, donated by a friend, to clear the front driveshaft and fit between the frame rails.
