3DR Iris with PX4 firmware is tested in fifth episode in series of videos comparing precision of various autopilots. All autopilots are flying a drone photogrammetry route planned in UgCS.
When it comes to using drones for land surveying, mapping or 3D reconstructions, flight precision plays an important role. Each drone has its level of accuracy of flying predefined routes.
To illustrate the diverse precision of autopilots, we will fly a simple yet typical photogrammetry route with added overshot, to compare different turn types and to see more accurately the precision of flying according to survey lines.
