An anti-tank unit of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Ground Force recently held a training in northwest China to test attacking efficiency of weapon systems and bolster real combat capabilities.
The unit under the 72nd Corps of PLA Ground Force launched the first round of attack using anti-tank missiles, with soldiers adjusting trajectory of the missiles with the help of videos transmitted through optical fiber systems at the warheads to carry out accurate attacks against simulated tank targets.
Then the command post ordered scout targeting the remaining tanks that were escaping under cover of gunships and then annihilated them.
To meet the needs of real battle, the training adopted the mode of "assaulting on maneuver", and it also included attacking low altitude targets and those at extreme distances.
