Keyboard modding can seem scary to beginners, but these are simple ones to start with ☺️

TAPE MOD — creates a fuller, and sometimes louder, thockier sound.
I like 2-3 layers but even 1 layer changes the sound! I use Painters Tape because it’s wide and also because it’s not that sticky and thus easier to remove than masking tape. I usually stick it to myself a few times to lessen the stickiness!
Tape mods are most safely done on wired keyboards with no battery. ⚠️ For keebs with a battery, if you want to be extra safe, you could use electrical tape for the outermost layer as a barrier.
Note: Not shown in this video, is if you like the tape mod effect, you’ll need to cut out the screw points (and any cable connector points) before reassembling everything! Cut carefully, lifting the tape up frequently if you need to check, or using a pen to mark all the cutout points!

FOAM IN SPACE BAR — helps to adsorb some of the hollow, high pitch clacky sound
I ended up putting even more foam than this because it was still too loud for my liking 😆 I used leftover Poron foam, but I’ve also seen people use a thick double sided ‘jelly’ kind of tape and it seemed effective!
Always test the feeling of the spacebar after you put in the foam. You shouldnt actually FEEL any foaminess - if you do, you’ve used too much foam or put it too close or high to the switch/stabilizers.
You might not hear big difference in the video (esp if you listen on speaker), but it’s really different in real life! 😄
